The Kingdom of God is in You.

God is right here with you, living inside of you, ready to release His Kingdom through you, because “the Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). But what does it mean to carry the Kingdom of God inside of you—to be a carrier of the Kingdom and glory and power of God?

It can be hard to wrap your mind around the power that created the universe, let alone that such power resides within you. How can you access that power to bring peace and healing to a chaotic and hurting world?

As the Holy Spirit did in the first lines of the Bible, you can hover over the dark and empty places through prayer, and speak forth life-giving light. (See Genesis 1:3.) It is only through prayer that the Kingdom of Heaven can invade the world.

The Father has entreated each one of us to be involved in wielding the weaponry of spiritual war—weaponry that impacts the spiritual realm and affects how events unfold in the natural world. (The Art of War, pg. 3.)

This week practice bringing order to the daily chaos of your life through prayer. If there is an area that seems foreboding or formless as you examine the week ahead, speak forth wisdom, provision, favor, or whatever you need to bring it into alignment with your goals.

Matthew 3:11 MSG: Ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you [and your world] from the inside out.

The Key To Your Victory Is Consistency

Paul told us we should “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17). So, more than anything else, simply be consistent, be consistent, BE CONSISTENT in your prayer times! The effectiveness of prayer is largely due to the consistency with which it is pursued, as well as how consistently you line up the words you speak with the prayers you’ve prayed.

You will obtain a tenacity of spirit when you stay vigilantly and relentlessly focused on seeking God in prayer.

The term vigilant connotes a stare, or gaze, that defies anything to move out of timing or order. Look intently to the matters God has exposed in the realm of the Spirit. Once your focus is locked, the intensity of prayer should escalate until it dismantles the illegal movements of the satanic kingdom. It is a privilege to move with this kind of intensity in undistracted and undeterred prayer. (The Art of War, p. 110.)

I challenge you this week to focus on consistency in prayer—to stay vigilant as you defy anything that moves out of God’s timing or order! Don’t ever let up! Pray with force and perseverance . . . be as consistent as you are bold! Determine to finish strong!

1 Peter 5:8 AMP: Be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
